Oman-Shop Bakhoor
We source our bakhoor directly from a producer in Oman who runs a bakhoor workshop. This enables us to offer authentic bakhoor from Oman.
We offer a taster pack containing 12 different varieties of bakhoor. You can use this to host a bakhoor-burning party or take your time to enjoy the different varieties and decide which ones you’d like to continue using.
We also offer the bakhoor individually in small jars containing 40 g.
Bakhoor are incense blends made from various woods, aromatic oils, resins and flowers. These blends are predominantly made from natural ingredients, although some oils are also synthetic. (For example, they do not contain distilled, natural rose oil due to its high purchase price – this is the case for all types of bakhoor sold by other shops as well). Our bakhoor is nevertheless of a very high quality – there are some lovely and distinctive scents to suit different tastes and occasions.
By popular demand, we now also offer three varieties made from very high-quality woods and natural oils. These are labelled as ‘Luxury Bakhoor’. We also offer a mini taster pack containing three samples, each weighing approx. 4 g and sufficient for two burnings. Give it a try if you have a very sensitive sense of smell or if you’re interested in pure, natural fragrances. It’s a very special scent! You’ll see that this selection also comes at significantly higher prices.
We offer this ‘Luxury Bakhoor’ in 20 or 40 g. jars.

We are trying to source bakhoor which, when next imported, will not only be comparable to the previous version in name, but hopefully also in scent and overall appearance. However, this is not so easy when importing from Oman. Bakhoor was originally a burning ritual practised by Bedouins in the Arab world. In this process, a mass of compressed wood shavings – usually dark in colour – is dipped into perfume oils made from frankincense, flowers, resins and/or sandalwood.
